Ordered these to wear at edge of water on beach. The beach is often covered in shell beds that can be painful to walk across and the waves were trying to take my flops with them, so I thought Id try some actual water shoes. These look great and feel great-dry. They were great for walking over the shells. Unfortunately, every time a wave washed over my feet, it filled the shoes with sand and grit. There's no shaking it off, because it's inside the shoe and there to stay. The sand around the ankle is especially scratchy and uncomfortable. Came home-pulled the inserts out of the shoes and rinsed all of the sand out. Squeezed them out and left them in sink to dry for next trip out. 14 hours later, they are still damp. Opted to wear flops instead. Maybe I'll try to find a thinner, ankle tight, neoprene sock to wear with them and see if that works better at keeping the sand out, but these definitely dont work with the waves.
