First of all, these are gorgeous and you will get so many dirty looks from jealous women and a different look from the men. They're comfortable around the leg and I had NO slipping down even with my skinny legs. But these are NOT for long walking or dancing as your feet and ankles will be at a VERY uncomfortable angle. If you're barely walking and you want to be the envy of the room these are great. I have no regrets.
